North 680

It was time. Time for new rental housing in Schaumburg, which hadn’t offered new rental options for more than 30 years. UrbanStreet identified that need and brought forth a big idea. They reintroduced new construction rental housing to the market and  built high-end, next-generation apartment spaces for tenants actively seeking out and choosing exceptional living environments.

St. Louis, Missouri

Tower at OPOP

From a shell springs luxury. That is the story of the Tower at OPOP. Its 27 stories of exquisite modern spaces rise—sleek and tall and proud—among the historic brick landscape of downtown St. Louis. In developing this property, UrbanStreet ventured way beyond reimagination to environmental creation.  The only new construction, high rise building in downtown St. Louis, the Tower at OPOP set a new standard for living.

Element

When UrbanStreet set out to raise the bar on suburban living, we went even higher with Element. This architecturally distinct, loft-inspired luxury living community has a decidedly metropolitan vibe, yet it is set upon a vast stretch of outdoor acreage. A key component of the “live-work-play” Veridian community, Element is a dynamic juxtaposition of urban design in a suburban setting—four stories of high-end units and amenities, wrapped discreetly around a large parking structure.

The 450

The 450 understands and embraces its suburban location and demographic, and offers its discerning residents with a spectacular amenities package. Four buildings share a centralized clubhouse, and foster a sense of community set within one of the most vibrant submarkets in suburban Chicago.

Marshall Field Jr. Mansion

It was thought that this 1800s building could not be saved. Yet we knew that UrbanStreet had the craftspeople, the artisan skills set—and the passion—to bring the gilded age back to life in Chicago’s South Loop. In converting this masterpiece into six units, we took the weathered and deteriorating building apart, mapped it, and rebuilt it … section by section. We quarried and computer-generated stone to match the original red stone. This undertaking was recognized with a Landmark Award, and is arguably one of the most fulfilling projects any developer could dream of undertaking.

The Woodlands

A negative beach-home experience in the early 2000s led an UrbanStreet founder to explore opportunities to develop enticing properties for vacationers there. Yet we took a different approach. We went into the woods a mere five minutes from the beach, and build exquisitely constructed, brand-new houses with modern amenities typically not found in lake cottages.  Embracing the natural wooded site, these homes and amenities provided a respite for Chicagoans looking to escape the city for the weekend.

Welles Park Place

These rowhouses in Chicago’s Lincoln Square neighborhood were inspired by German immigrant labor housing. They are classically proportioned yet simple in terms of ornamentation, to beautiful effect. Tall vertical windows and brick materials lend to the look and feel of true urban rowhouse.
